Pre-opp

We just returned from Reghan's pre-opp appointment. It went well considering Reghan is now completely terrified about going to the doctor. I guess she has a right to be so frightened since she has been through so much in the past few months. Dr. Eden said she is healthy and perfect (we knew that) and is safe for sedation. Sedation is the part I am worried about, but I know she will be okay. Did you know that it is a law that before you have any surgery or planned sedation that you must be seen by a doctor for a pre-opp visit? I didn't know this. I guess it covers the surgen's butt. Dr. Eden said this visit was a waste of our time since she had just examined Reghan on Sunday and she knows we would not take Reghan to San Francisco if she were sick without consulting her or the neurologist first. It is nice when you find out that your child's pediatrician has some confidence in you as a parent. I know we completly trust her with Reghan. I never second guess what she suggests we do for Reghan. I have said it before, but we are blessed to have her as Reghan's doctor.
