Well, today I took Reghan to her 2 1/2 year check-up with her pediatrician. It was a wonderful visit. Reghan tested at a kindergarden level (highest level they test to for this age) in abc's, colors and shapes. Of course I was so proud of her. All signs developmentally are perfect like they have been all along.
Both of Reghan's doctors want her to see a pediatric Ear, Nose, Throat specialist in Oakland where her neuorologist is. This ENT specialist only does children and has experience with kids exactly like Reghan and with the same issues. Also, the anestologist team that this ENT directly with during surgery is alson pediatric only and also has experience with kids just like Reghan. What an answer to prayer! God is amazing.
Reghan's neurologist wants to see her before her scheduled check-up with him. I called today and the earliest he has is December 11th. I am going to email him and see if he wants to see her sooner. I am waiting for a phone call from the ENT surgery department to get Reghan an appointment to have a consultaion with this doctor. All three of the doctors on her team feel the benifits way out weigh the risks of having the surgery. Now, I wait for the call from ENT. Hopefully it will come soon. Right now Reghan's sleep and breathing is so bad that we will have to take any surgery date available. Please pray it is far enough from Christmas so she can enjoy it too. Reghan is already excited about Christmas and I would hate to take that away from her.
